5 Ways To Cook Pumpkin
One of the things I love about fall is cooking with pumpkin.
I'm not a pumpkin spice latte girl, but I love this largely overlooked vegetable, which is incredibly rich in antioxidants and vitamins.
Growing up in New Zealand pumpkin was a part of most roast dinners, and roasted pumpkin is still perhaps my favorite way to eat it.
1. Roasted Pumpkin
The easiest way to make roasted pumpkin is to slice it, brush the slices with olive oil, sprinkle over some coarse sea salt, and put it in the oven.
You can also check out this recipe from Steamy Kitchen
2. Pumpkin Soup
I love thick, hearty pumpkin soup on cold, wet days.
If you want to spice up a pumpkin soup, or make it more interesting, try this Thai inspired pumpkin soup recipe from New Zealand chef Annabelle Langbein
3. Pumpkin Parmesan Risotto
Another hearty cold weather food is Pumpkin Parmesan Risotto.

4. Warm Pumpkin and Chickpea Salad With Tahini
A lighter way to enjoy pumpkin is in this superfood salad.
It makes a fantastic weekend lunch option, as well as a great weeknight food. Check out this recipe for Warm Pumpkin and Chickpea salad
5. Pumpkin Layer Cake
I'm not much of a dessert person, but I love to cook and bake,
and this Pumpkin Layer Cake from Martha Stewart looks like a great fall after dinner treat, or a wonderful rainy afternoon snack.

Toni Garrn Lip Bombs Allure Magazine
Not only is model Toni Garrn completely stunning, but apparently she is now also completely single after dumping super-douche
Leo DiCaprio. (who in my book maintains equal douchebaggery status to that of child-slime Justin Bieber).
Photographer Camilla Akrans captures Garrn in the November issue of Allure Magazine in a story exalting the majesty of sexy, bold fall lip colors.
Beautiful makeup by Wendy Rowe.

Corinna B's World Goes To Panarea
Panarea
The Aeolian Island where the jet set go to escape the rest of the jetset.
Or something like that.
The Corinna B's World Glam Italia Tour spent some time here this summer. Panarea is very glamorous, and completely and utterly lovely.
The Corinna B's World Glam Italia Tour spent some time here this summer. Panarea is very glamorous, and completely and utterly lovely.
This delicious island off of the north coast of Sicily has become the chicest summer spot in the Mediterranean.
But it’s not about out-doing the neighbors, or about flashy displays of wealth. It’s not the club scene of Ibiza, and you’ll probably (hopefully!) never see Lindsay or Paris here.

Home owners include Borghese’s and Bulgari’s and Visconti’s.
Panarea is a safe haven from overbuilt vacation destinations.
If anything it is underbuilt. Beautiful private homes on streets with no street lights, no cars and no pretense, heady with frangipani and lemons, hibiscus flowers and wild cacti, it’s an island that you get around on on foot, the locals frequently navigating the winding cobblestoned paths barefoot.
Little hamlets such as San Pietro, Ditella and Drauto have the island’s few shops.
Here you can buy the highly coveted custom made leather sandals with colored straps that wind up the leg, or the batik fashions found at the Raya boutique. There are no designer shops here, although major designers name products after the island.

You may however see some pretty fabulous designers visiting the island. Dolce and Gabbana come over from their home on nearby Stromboli, Giorgio Armani finds his way there from his home on Pantilleria on his super yacht.
Princess Caroline comes by on her yacht Pacha III, and there are invariably a handful of mega models and actresses arriving as guests of other yacht owners pulling in for the evening.
Panarea is charming, and very, very quiet.
It is surrounded by the bluest water I have ever seen, anywhere in the world.
There are not very many beaches, and they are a considerable hike to get to, but if you have access to a boat, swimming off of the coast of Panarea is one of the most glorious experiences ever. The water even feels soft and luxurious and the views are just breathtaking.

So Renee Zellweger Looks Different...
Renee Zellweger Looks Different.
On Monday night actress Renee Zellweger attended the 21st Annual Elle Women In Hollywood Awards in Beverly Hills.
Zellweger normally avoids the limelight, but on this occasion came out to honor her friend and costar Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
And she wore a very nice black dress.
Which is where the story should end.
But instead everyone is talking about a change in her face.
She looks different.
Big deal.
Maybe she took on some enhancement, maybe she didn't.
Maybe she augmented something that bothered her, maybe she didn't.
Maybe she is just aging in her own way - who knows and who cares?
But it sickens me that she is being attacked and dissected on the world stage because of it.
Zellweger walked into a room full of enhanced women that night. It was Hollywood, it was Beverly Hills, which means you can virtually guarantee that every female over the age of 28 probably has had a little help in some direction. Probably most of the women under 28 have too.
Zellweger isn't trying to con you into buying anything.
She's not trying to sell you skin care or weight loss products. She isn't trying to sell you a lifestyle program. She isn't trying to make you believe that if you buy product X you will look like her. She hasn't been liposucked halfway into oblivion so that you will buy a workout regimen that she's schilling for. So why care if she has changed things up a bit?
She is just a girl who went out for the night with her boyfriend.
And wore a pretty black dress.
It should be noted that Renee Zellweger isn't a fame hungry starlet. She doesn't trawl Robertson looking to get papped. She doesn't fame whore her way through L.A nightclubs and parties, causing scenes, getting drunk, acting out.
Instead she lives a private life.
She responded to the brouhaha over her new look via People magazine, with grace and dignity saying only: "I'm glad folks think I look different! I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows,"
Go girl.
Go girl.
Alli Cripe For Schon Magazine
I love model Alli Cripe, (she of the flowing red locks),
and have shot with her myself.
Here she is resplendent in lavender hair (courtesy of Castillo), and gorgeous makeup from Homa Safar, in a new editorial for Germany's Schon! magazine.
Photographed by Robert John Kley and styled by Jimi Urquiaga in a wardrobe embellished with lace and crystals and fringing and beading.
Beautiful.
