So how did you spend your Veteran's Day?
Me - I was on an editorial shoot, so this post is a little late in launching, but still valid nonetheless.
I want to tell you about a charity that
specifically works with female veterans.
My dear friend Jennifer Jo Cobb is a racecar driver
in both the NASCAR Nationwide Series and
Team member (and very close friend) Denise Harmon-Mixon, Jennifer and me, trackside at qualifying,PIR |
Jen has a charity called Driven2Honor,
which honors female veterans.
At every race 2 local female vets
who have won prestigious garage and pit passes,
get to experience full VIP treatment
courtesy of Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing.

On top of that Jennifer has a full line of merchandising
for the Driven2Honor program, helping to raise money
for female veterans returning home from deployment.
There are 6500 homeless female veterans here in the USA.
Driven2Honor is geared toward raising funds to secure
them a safe place to live, and also to empower female veterans
with career resources to start their new life,
including mentorship, retraining, technology assistance
and even wardrobe.
You can do your part to help female veterans by
purchasing items from the Driven2Honor collection.
Also, inspite of the incredible financial burden on small race teams, Jennifer is donating 10% of sponsorship funding for the 2013 season to the Driven2Honor program.
Jen and me, no doubt talking about boys or haircare products or makeup, trackside at Phoenix International Raceway. |
