Kelly Mittendorf for Vogue Japan

I love the Asian Vogues. In general I find them spectacular.

This time we're combining Vogue Japan + local model Kelly Mittendorf + more fetish fashion.
Actually I think the fetish fashion thing has really done its dash at this point - there's so much of it happening right now that it not only ceases to grab your attention, but barely causes an imperceptible lift of the eyebrow.

However the lovely Kelly Mittendorf is everywhere at the moment, her star making its meteoric rise.
She is going to be around for a long time, so its fun to watch her catching her stride.
Go girl.

Known for strutting her fabu-stuff on runways from New York to Paris, and for her spectacular print presence, uber model Coco Rocha is now utilizing her design skills to benefit charity.

Rocha paired up with Senhoa, an aid organization helping Cambodian victims of human trafficking, after receiving a piece made by the women of Senhoa on her wedding day in June 2010.

Supermodel friends Iman and Caroline Trentini were enlisted for the print campaign.

The collection features seven pieces: 2 earring sets, 2 bracelets, 1 necklace and 2 body pieces,

Juvederm Tear Trough Fill

The holiday season is upon us, with its endless sea of social events and family gatherings, and the ensuing photographs that last forever. And for which a girl has to look youthful and beauteous.
So there's no time like the present to slip in for a little lunch hour re-tooling, high speed youth regeneration. Think of it as getting a little tune up for you face...

One of the most sensational things you can do for a high speed youth infusion is called a Tear Trough Fill.

As we age, many of us from as early as our 20's, we lose density under our eyes. The area between the cheekbone and the eye starts to disappear, leaving a deflated, sagging dip. This makes us look varying degrees of tired, sad, and old, way ahead of our time.
Having this area revolumized instantly takes years back off you, and leaves you looking bright, alert and completely refreshed.

Your specialist will inject a hyaluronic acid based filler, most commonly Juvederm, into the area, and mold and shape it so that it looks completely natural, and you will look instantly revitalized.
Actors and models do this to maintain a fresh and youthful look, and I send my clients and luxe ladies who lunch off to have it done all the time.
The procedure is quick and efficient, and lasts over a year.
Tear Trough before
Tear Trough after

A much more enticing concept than going under the knife, and one that anyone can have done.
As it usually only involves one vial of Juvederm, it costs in the vicinity of $500 - $600.

Obviously I'm not a doctor, but as a makeup artist who sees this procedure over and over, I personally feel that Juvederm consistently gives the smoothest, most natural look, and that it does seem to last longer than the other hyaluronic acid based fillers.
Tear Trough before
Tear Trough after
Isn't it amazing??? These are some of Dr Blume's patients.

As this involves the thinnest skin on the body, and is extremely delicate work, most doctors won't, or can't, perform it. In fact you do need to go to an absolute specialist in the field of injectibles, who has a ton of experience with tear trough fills, and lots of before and after pictures of the procedure to show you.

This is a procedure that you must be extremely diligent in the practioner selection process.

Here in Arizona I send all my clients (out of state clients too, from as close as Hollywood, to as far away as Calgary) to Dr Blume at the Blume Skin Centre in Scottsdale.
Dr Blume specializes in the field, and is actually a national trainer for Juvederm. He flies around the country teaching doctors, specialists and plastic surgeons how to perform this procedure, and the most advanced techniques of all other injectible procedures.

Ginta Lapina by Vincent Peters for Vogue Russia November 2011

When you make your complexion the star of your makeup show, you really only need one extra defining detail to create a completely fabulous fall look.

Maybe a bold, strong mouth, a deep, muted smokey eye, an uber defined brow, or in this case an exaggerated winged cat eye.

Combine that with a gentle cream blush and a neutral lip (and maybe a perfect bare bottom or a bullet bra) and you are good to go!

Seen here from Vogue Russia November 2011, Ginta Lapina, shot by Vincent Peters, its all about the glam.
