Clarins Instant Blush Magic Color

Here's a fabulous new product from Clarins,
Instant Blush Magic Color.
A cream gel, (my favorite type of blush!)
this blush has a great viscosity
so it slides on with ease.
Its a sheer buildable color, that you can layer into,
or just leave as a soft flush to the cheek.
Its a touch of rose that works with your body chemistry
to create the perfect tone for your skin.

It also picks up light, making your skin look radiant
and alive.

As a side bonus, its fabulous on the lips too!

Leaving No Lash Behind

Here's a really cool new mascara
thats launching this month (September)
from Avon.

Its called superMagnify Mascara.
This one is about making every lash count.
Its a clump free formula, designed to define
for stunningly full lashes.

Whats super cool is the revolutionary new brush
that includes an unprecedented
1000+ microbristles, which coat every lash
from corner to corner,
root to tip, for optimal fullness.
These microbristles grasp even the smallest
finest lash, delivering maximum definition
for voluminous eyes.

In fact there's a 5:1 bristles to lashes ratio,
creating 6X the lash volume and revealing 49% more lashes.

superMagnify comes in 3 shades:
black, brown, and my favorite to waken up tired eyes, navy.

Its also totally affordable at $8.50

Here Comes Friday Night...

Here comes Friday night, and while the world
is out and about enjoying fun libations,
I'm back on a sugar free (read alcohol free!)diet,
and will have to make do with sparkling water
and flavored stevia drops. Ho Hum.

However, were I able to indulge
I would be having my favorite sip of the south:

Lynchburg Lemonade

Here's what you need

* 1 part Jack Daniels
* 1 part triple sec
* 1 part sour mix
* 4 parts 7up
Pour over ice, garnish with lemon or cherries.

Yum!

Beat The Heat: Skin Care Tricks

We shot a segment for SheKnowsTV on how to Beat The Heat with skin care.

I talked about C. R. B
Cleanse
Repair
Boost

Cleanse:
You may have to change up your cleansing routine during the heat of the summer months. Humidity promotes excess oil production, and can lead to break outs and clogged pores. If you are somewhere humid, consider changing to a cleansing wash rather than a milk.

Dry heat sucks all the moisture out of your skin, so a wash may strip your complexion too much. A cleansing milk may be better for you.

Excess perspiration, SPF from the days at the beach, muggy humid air - all kinds of environmental issues can clog pores and change the texture of our skin.
Clarisonic gives you a six times deeper cleanse, really cleaning out those pores, stimulating the skin and lifting away the dead surface cells.

Loved by dermatologists, and adored by models and celebrities alike, Clarisonic is quite possibly the most significant innovation in skin care in the past 10 years.
I absolutely swear by mine. (available at www.beautyatskindeep.com)

Repair:
Changes in climate can really stress your skin out, so you need to have some tricks up your sleeve to pull off some quick repair work. Or some preventative maintenance.
One of the best options is to take 10 minutes every couple of weeks and give yourself a mask.

Here are three fabulous options, available to everyone, everywhere via BeautyAtSkinDeep.com

If your skin is more on the oily side, or you're having breakouts, acne, back acne, chest breakouts - you know the drill - you need a mask that will super deep clean and pull out all the excess oil and detox those pores. Gently.
Alaskan Glacial Mud is a sustainable, organic, hand harvested mask. Extremely popular and loved by all who use it, 10% of the profits from the glacial facial go back to the environment.
This one is for those of you living in a dry heat, or who need extra hydration. Dried out skin looks lifeless and dull, so you should use a hydration mask every week or two to repair and add extra moisture back into the skin.

Dehydrated looks drastically older than well nourished skin!

My favorite way to exfoliate and remove all the dead surface cells is with an enzyme mask.
This one nourishes, detoxes, puts moisture back into the skin and soothes. I love multi-purpose multi-taskers!

And it smells divine too!

Boost:
When beating the heat you may also need to give your skin a good boost.
Your moisturizer that works fabulously for most of the year, often needs some extra help to get you through the summer months.

This is a lightweight oil free gel formula that delivers moisture deep into the skin and holds it there. Super soothing and cooling, you can use this by itself in more humid climes, or use it before moisturizer when your regular product needs a boost.
Too much sun or wind? This one is a great skin recovery product too!

Cold Plasma by Perricone MD is the ultimate booster product.
This one addresses the 10 main signs of aging: wrinkles, enlarged pores, loss of smoothness, impurities, uneven skin tone, redness, discoloration, loss of firmness, dryness and loss of radiance. It is in fact, a skin solution for all ages and all skin types.
Designed for year round use, it is also a fantastic summer time boost to the skin. I use it nightly under my night time moisturizer. Smoothing, firming, brightening, expect dramatic results from this revolutionary product.

Facial Fuel Eye Depuffer

I am always being asked what product to use
to get rid of under eye bags.
More specifically, tired, puffy eyes.

This is what I use both in my makeup kit,
especially when I have some jet lagged super-celeb getting ready at 5 am for a breakfast TV appearance,
and also for my personal use
(especially when I'm getting ready at 4 am
for a breakfast TV appearance...)

Its the Kiehls Facial Fuel Eye De Puffer.
Now although this product was originally designed for men, and in fact I originally bought it to use on men, it is perfect for women too.
An instantly cooling and non greasy formula, this one actually comes in a stick, so you can gently glide it over the under eye area, with no pulling or tugging, and feel instant relief.
It has energy enhancing ingredients, which get the blood circulating and make your eyes look awake and alert, it minimizes puffiness, hydrates, rejuvenates, cools and soothes.

Its compact enough that you can keep it in your handbag for instant relief from tired eyes as you sit in front of the computer all day, allergy irritated eyes when the pollen count gets bothersome, and is super sensational for use when you're on long flights.

I just showed this product on a SheKnows Daily Dish segment all about lightening and brightening the eye area,
so you'll be hearing more about the Eye De Puffer from me soon!
