Fun Things I Found At Tori Burch

I totally adored this little yellow handbag.
It has a gold chain shoulder strap that lets it hang to the hip.
Perfect for a summer night out.

I absolutely love these signature thongs.
Lovely with anything, epecially a maxi dress, or beachwear.
Fun, casual and chic.

This purple tote is divine for beach/resort/pool time.
Pack all your swim and sun gear in it,
or use it as a great, stylish little carryall
for running around town.
You really can't go wrong!
Not normally a lover of flats
I had about exhausted their usefulness on the thong,
But these little espadrilles are really quite adorable!

Bend Me, Shape Me

If you want a smooth, sleek looking body
in virtually any fabulous dress,
slim pants,
or fitted skirt,
chances are you are going to need to wear shapewear underneath.

And its not just for those of us with the curvier curves either.
On almost every red carpet event I've ever worked
our diva has had to squeeze, contort, and shimmy into
some kind of shape enhancing,
body smoothing contraption.
Its part of how they look so flawlessly immaculate.

However.

If you've ever actually worn shapewear
you'll know the last thing you want to do
is let your dress drop to the floor
in front of your fabulous man.

I would rather pull my eyelashes out one by one than be seen in them.

Because they are the most sexless looking
unattractive undergarments on earth.

Until now!
Mission Control
has created a new, super sexy line of secret shapers.
Lace trimmed, seductive shapes that just look like
totally sexy lingerie.

This super seductive slip has dual layer firming panels and a plunging neckline
to contour curves and enhance your shape.
It minimizes the torso and has a built in push up bra for extreme lift,
balanced out with a particularly alluring lace hem.
Stunning.

Sleek power mesh and inner control panels fuse together to shape the midsection torso and rear.
A built in push up bra enhances and supports the girls while removable garters transform
this stunning shaper into a boudoir piece.
Gorgeous.

Oh the total hotness of it!!
Breathable mesh panels and dual layers of microfiber give 360 degrees of control.
This versatile sculpting bodysuit has 5 way convertible straps and a hook and eye closure for
ultimate adjustment and versatility.
Total body control with high fashion appeal.
Divine.

Mission Control  has pioneered a sculpting agent that defines and highlights the female form.
Fashion forward style lines hold shape and allow movement and comfort
while looking so beautiful any woman would just looove to be caught in them.

Cruising through their website
I've come to realize I want every piece they have.

Love, love, love!!!

Jimmy Love In Texas

So we all know by now just how much I truly love Jimmy Choo.
My favorite shoes of all time.

But not all Jimmy Choo stores are created equal.
Some of them are staffed by supercilious fools
who don't quite understand that although it all ends with the shoe
it begins with the total shopping experience.

Its that little love dance that is looking, holding,
oohing and ahhing,
trying them on, walking around in them.
Stepping into a Jimmy Choo store needs to be an experience,
its the prelude to the grand event.

Last weekend in Dallas we found our way into what has become
my absolute favorite Jimmy Choo store on earth.

The Jimmy Choo in Highland Park Village.

Sloane, Christi and Jessica are three of the most fun, enthusiastic,
fashion forward girls you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting.
In fact, they were so fabulous that we actually went back the second day
for another round of Jimmy Choo-ing.
And they totally get the concept of making a Jimmy purchase
(which, incidentally can run parallel to mortgage payment)
into a total event.

So lets have a little look at what we found...

This is the Mia shoe.
For some reason I am so drawn to bold yellow heels.
Christi pointed out though that as I already have
Jimmy slingbacks in yellow
I should maybe look at this shoe in biscuit.
She was right.
Hmmmm. Love them in biscuit!
(I'd already taken these pictures of them in yellow)

This one is the Nixon.
I've had this picture on my computer for ages.
That's just part of the dance.
I look at and dream about a shoe for a fair amount of time
before I go get it.
I try not to impulse buy shoes of this caliber.
That's not how this love affair runs.

Christi was wearing this shoe in black.
Sloane pointed out that the almond shade would go with everything under the sun,
and that I can wear it year round.
(And just between you and me,
it is quite possibly the most comfortable shoe
I have ever worn.)
Super high, super gorgeous, and you can stand in it forever.

Sloane took this picture of our feet in our Nixons
so we could facebook and twitter the world
about how much fun race weekend in Dallas really is!

Jimmy Choo at Highland Park Village in Dallas
ships shoes anywhere and everywhere.

So if you find a Jimmy that you can't live without
but you're not getting treated the way you should be,
just pick up the phone and call Sloane, Christi or Jessica.
(214) 528-6801
They will be more than happy to totally take care of you,
make you feel special,
and ship your shoe love,
tax free no less,
to wherever it is that you are.

Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing, Rocking It In Dallas

This past weekend I went to Dallas to watch my good friend
Jennifer Jo Cobb racing at Texas Motor Speedway.

even in a helmet Jen manages to look gorgeous!

Jennifer races in the Nascar Camping World Truck Series.
She's the only girl racer in the entire Nascar series.
(Later this year Danica Patrick will be back in the Nascar Nationwide Series)
On the track you'd never know a girl was behind the wheel
but walking around she infuses an unmistakable sense of glamour.
She's gorgeous, has the body of a supermodel, and a mane of thick, long red hair
that you can spot a mile off.

As well as being super fabulous, she is super fun!
Her team adores her, and she comfortably and seamlessly transitions from
high heels and lip gloss to hanging out with the boys.

waiting to make her practice runs at Texas Motor Speedway.

pre practice, Denise Harmon Mixon (team manager and one of the most fun people I have ever known!), Jen and me

Jen's truck at the garages at Texas Motor Speedway

On raceday we had an hour long autograph session, outside, with the temperature over 100 degrees plus humidity.
There were long lines of dedicated fans braving the heat to get au tographs.
Nascar has 71 million fans here in the USA, 40% of whom are female.
These girls get super excited to see and meet a girl racer,
who is not only lovely looking, but is also very identifiable.
Jen has been a motivational speaker for years, and is able to put people at ease immediately.
Everyone comments on how easily they can relate to her, and she to them.

Just so happens the boys want to do some relating too!
Nothing quite like having a beautiful girl sign your arm...!

And of course, wherever Jen goes, the TV cameras are not far behind.
It seemed everywhere we went at the track there was a TV camera nearby.

After an hour in the heat I was so ready for some chill out time in the air conditioned race hauler,
but another legion of fans had lined up there too, waiting for the chance to meet her.
Not one to let people down, Jen sat out there for another hour, meeting and greeting.

At Driver Intro's the TV folks found her again,
this time waiting in line with fellow rookie Brett Butler,
who drives the Fuel Doctor USA truck.

This was a night race, which I think is my favorite.
I watched from the pit box, which is my favorite place to be.
Right in the heart of it all!

Pit stops are so exhilarating to watch, especially when they're only 3 feet away!

I sat with Crew Chief Steve Kuykendall, and listened in on radio to all the
crew chief/spotter/driver chat, which is actually really quite exciting!
Especially when they're guiding a driver through and past the smoke and debris of a big crash,
and safely getting them to the other side at 178 mph!!

oh the humidity!!! Thanks to Moroccan Oil I didn't have my usual damp air afro...

the pit crew doing their high speed thing

Jen actually ran her best race ever in Dallas, finishing a very cool 14th place.
There were 30 something in the race, so it could be argued that she dealt it to those boys!

And after 2 hours racing in punishing heat,
she still managed to look stunning at the end of the race!

If you're on Twitter you can follow Jen @jenjocobb
Steve is @CrewChiefSteve
and if you're not following me yet on twitter, please join me @Corinnamakeup

Jennifer has a really cool line of racewear both for guys and (of course!!) for girls.
You can find her T's, hats etc at the Driver Boutique

Oh So Salma-licious!!

Just how ridiculously fabulous, sexy, hot and beautiful is Salma Hayek???
I adore her!

InStyle Magazine has her on the cover this month
with a great little interview inside.

I loved this piece:

9 Things She Would Tell Her Younger Self.

1. Floss!
Take care of your teeth

2. Don't Worry Too Much
or be discouraged by other's opinions.

3. Create Some Good Habits
such as the way you eat and exercise

4. Don't Waste Time Trying To Impress The Fools.
(Amen!)

5. Avoid Drama.
and don't spend your time talking about it
or giving in to it

6. Count Your Blessings.
every day

7. Enjoy Nature

8. Spend Every Second You Can With Your Grandparents.
And write down what they tell you.
Film it if you can.

9.Keep A Diary
I wish I had written down all the beautiful things men had told me
...and they meant it.

If I were to add one more to round it up to 10
I would have to say
Don't Stress The Small Stuff.
Because it is all small stuff.
And even the big stuff
is never worth the stress
when you look back

Wednesday Fun!

Hmmmm.

Wednesdays can be so boring.
The farthest point from the weekend.
So I'm taking it upon myself
to lighten and brighten yours.

Hot stuff for your Wednesday.

1. Tom Ford's new line of lipsticks.

2. Rosie Huntington Whitely
(in an ad for Monsoon)
is replacing Megan Fox in Transformers 3.
Hopefully she'll be smart enough not to bag on director Michael Bay.

3. The divine Scarlett Johansson
looking beyond sensational,
beyond gorgeous
for the uber-sexy Dolce & Gabbana.

Doesn't your Wednesday feel better now??
