Working it! Dior Spring 2011

Work your shape.
Don't buy frames that match your face shape - if you have a round face avoid round frames, instead opt for a rectangular frame.
If your face is more square shaped look for glasses that are rounder.
Heart shaped faces look fabulous in anything.
Classic Ray Ban Aviators look good on most faces, but with other aviators be mindful of the depth of the drop in the glass shape. Some can really distort a face shape.

Phoenix Bride and Groom Magazine Cover Shoot

This was such a fabulous shoot! We shot the June cover of Phoenix Bride and Groom Magazine at the beautiful Wrigley Mansion in Scottsdale.

Victoria Canada of Victoria Canada Weddings and Events co ordinated the shoot and put it all together.
She brilliant!

The theme was a modern day twist on Marie Antoinette. If you check out the magazine you'll see the photo-story was largely based around the incredible cakes and confections that inspired the "Sugar High" article.

The amazing hair was built and designed by my partner in glam, hair guru Will Zecco. We get booked together an enormous amount. He is not only a complete genius, but is more fun than you can even imagine!!

I adored working with her.

Hollye Schumacher was the photographer. She's fabulous. I love her.

Here's a little run down from me on the makeup products I used:

Derek Lam Resort Collection 2012

California native and now New York transplant Derek Lam 

took a 2 1/2 week trip to Bhutan and Phuket in March 

that proved inspiration for his fabulous new 2012 Resort Collection.

Color blocks remniscent of Tibetan prayer flags,

fabrics embroidered in the manner of textiles he found in Bhutan,

scarf print halter dresses with Buddhist motifs, 

and hand loomed sash belts.

Scuba also made an appearance via second skin knits in white and vivid turquoise.

The collection is not only resort perfection, but also uptown chic.

Love it.

Kate Winslet for St John

Oscar winning actress Kate Winslet is the new face of St John.

Following in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie and Gisele Bundchen, Winslet will now front the luxury brand's ad campaigns.

The St John Fall 2011 campaign was shot in a retro movie theater in Jersey City by famed photog Craig McDean.

Winslet looks exquisite.



“They want to keep it looking like me and not have it look like me pretending to be a model wearing these clothes,” said Winslet of the concept. “I’m obviously not a model. I’m not the size of a model. I don’t have the face of a model or the shape of a model.”
