Its All About The Bling

I thought you might find this interesting.

This week I'm shooting some catalogue.
And I need my models to have a gorgeous,
warm tan, healthy glow.
And we're barely into spring,so they're still a little on the pasty side.

So I use Scott Barnes Body Bling to warm them up.

It comes in 2 shades, original and platinum.
Its gives the skin an exquisite glow.
So beautiful.
Think JLo.

That's who Scott created it for.
He's her fave makeup artist.

He's the one who gave her that gorgeous
monochromatic tanned with pale lip look
that she has made so iconic.

You can look iconic too.
Just avoid the tanning beds.
Like the plague.

And work the bling.

When You Wu Me Jason...

I love this pink feathered Jason Wu dress
more than words can say.
I've been carrying around pictures of it
for ages.

scary make up, divine dress.

Its perfect.
Fun for Easter
Fun for doing groceries.
Fun.
Want.
Crave.

Iman loves it too.

I also love this feather skirt from Adam
with a cashmere T.
What a fun egg hunt that would be!

Happy Easter!

Are You An Angel Or A Demon??

Oh the hotness of it!!
Who even cares what this fragrance smells like?
I'd buy it just because the picture is so hot.
Doesn't Uma look like
she's about to do something very bad to you?

and just between you and me,
if I had legs that even halfway looked like hers
I sit around like that
all day long
looking fierce.
At bus stops
and in offices
and such.

And there's your thought for Thursday.

Be bad.

Lea Maria Antoinetta!

Now here's some fun!

We'd been planning a "period piece" shoot for a while.
So the creative team of photographer Kelly Cappelli
hair God Will Zecco, and I cooked up this concept.

The make up had to be paler than pale, with a heavier than heavy brow,
bold red lip, and everything else scaled all the way back.

The whole look hinged on an over the top wig, bigger and bolder than you would typically do.
And Will was the man for the job!
The wig makes it genius.

And I brought my FlipCam UltraHD from the good folks at Flip.com
and recorded some of the sillyness for you.
I couldn't edit out all the laughing though.

But check this out:

Isn't it fun???

Here is the final shot

For some reason the video isn't showing up properly?

Lingerie By Jean Paul Gaultier

Oh my!
And how much am I loving everything about this???
Except the bird.
That kinda creeps me out.

But the hair,
the make up(!!!)
and what totally hot lingerie!
I would love this.

Especially under my wrap dresses.
Which I am always scared will blow undone
in a freak breeze
or unscheduled surprise hurricane.

Gotta have it!

Just not the bird.

Lets Make A Cat Eye

This is a super simple and quick version of a cat eye.
Great for when you are either wearing a full, bold lip,
or when you just don't have time for much else.

The key to making it super easy is using the bent liner brush. Your hand and wrist will be working at a natural angle, which makes the application very streamlined and effortless.

This is the eye we used in our Valentine's Day tutorial for Sleek and Sexy Look
That video was too long, so we broke it up into smaller pieces.

The Brushes I used:

Oval Shadow Brush
Bent Liner Brush
Taklon Liner Brush

All brushes from CorinnaB.com

Makeup Forever eyeshadow single
Black Gel Cream Liner

Super simple!

Putting Your Best Foot Forward. Hmmm!

When I first moved to America

Vanna White gave me some incredible advice
while we were chilling in her dressing room.

She said

Always wear nude high heels.
They will make your leg look longer and leaner.

And she was right.
100%

So I have taken it upon myself
to do a little research for you
on your long, lean leg options
for spring 2010.

Oh - and you're welcome!

Jimmy Choo from the 24:7 Collection.
As usual,
Perfection!

This post could not possibly be complete
without a visit
to the king himself
Mr Louboutin.
The "Stratarata" in glitter and nude.

You cannot help but look exquisite
in his "Fernando" in nude.

You will absolutely looklonger and leaner
in this YSL "Tribute" Sandal.

I crave this shoe!!
