Marine Deleeuw For Vogue Japan September 2013

There is so much that I love about this editorial in
the September 2013 issue of Vogue Japan.

The wardrobe is really interesting.
The simplicity yet total elegance of the hair and makeup,
the beauty in the spareness of the photography.

Vogue Japan September Issue

Here's a glimpse at fall's makeup, nails and hair
via Vogue Japan Beauty, September 2013.

Lensed by Lacey
the story reads like a Hitchcock movie,
with model Patricia van der Vliet starring
as a modern day Janet Leigh.
Love it.

Waves In Motion ~ Vogue Japan

Instead of using skimpy swimwear,
makes a super statement in the July issue of Vogue Japan,
by dressing Czech model Magdalena Langrova in
bold, colorblocked wetsuits
and covered up activewear.

Under The Twilight Sky ~ Crystal Renn For Vogue Japan

Swedish photographer Camilla Akrans is one
of my absolute favorites.
Her relationship with color and light, and her
ability to get fabulous extremes from her models
just kill me.

So whilst researching something else
and looking through Akrans work in the process,
I came back to this absolute gem from Vogue Japan June 2012.

Model Crystal Renn works some Spanish glam
in designs from Balmain, Yves Saint Laurent,
Hakaan and Dolce and Gabbana
as styled by fashion editor Sissy Vian.

Scarlet lips and unapologetically fierce brows
from makeup artist Sil Bruinsma
and retro tresses from Alain Pichon just add to the perfection.

Crystal Renn by Camilla Akrans for Vogue Japan June 2012

Everything that Swedish photographer
Camilla Akrans shoots
is so visually arresting.
 She is magnificent.

For the June 2012 issue of Vogue Japan
Akrans shoots model Crystal Renn
in a spectacular story called
Under The Twilight Sky.

Fashion Editor Sissy Vian dresses Renn
in designers including  Dolce and Gabbana
Yves Saint Laurent, Balmain and Hakaan.

Immaculate skin, the boldest of red lips
and a very fierce brow
by makeup artist Sil Bruinsma,
retro inspired hair by Alain Pichon.

So perfect I could die.

Natasha Poly for Vogue Japan

Model Natasha Poly
brings a little melancholy

as she slips into some
darker wardrobe choices for spring
from designers including
 Emilio Pucci, Stella McCartney,
Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent,
as styled by fashion editor George Cortina
for the May issue of Vogue Japan.
