8 places To Visit Before You Die

Do you have a bucket list of travel destinations?
I don't. Well, at least not on paper. But I probably should.
There is just so much world to see and so little time to see it all in.

I found this on The Daily Eight. What places in the world would you put on your must-see travel itinerary? Tell me in the comments section below.

Maybe I will make that list after all...

The Seychelles
1. The Seychelles
Located in the Indian Ocean, Seychelles is made up of a combination of 150 tiny islands. They are relatively unexplored and this presents you with an opportunity to explore the beautiful islands in the same fashion as the original explorers did approximately 250 years ago. These islands give visitors the opportunity to fish, dive, sail, explore and above all relax during their vacation on the islands.

The Azores
2. The Azores
These Portuguese islands normally host thousands of tourists annually. Found in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, these islands guarantee visitors sun, sand and wonderful mountain scenery. In addition to these, the volcanic island cluster also regularly holds various carnival celebrations and actual bullfighting.

Mallorca
3. Mallorca
Spain has earned itself a global reputation for being outright gorgeous. Therefore, it does not come as a surprise that this island is pure eye candy. The awe inspiring isle has an antique train that visitors can ride. It also has shows involving dolphins and sea-lions for its visitors. Mallorca also has a very rich culture for visitors to sample.

Giza Pyramids
4. The Pyramids of Giza

These superstructures stand on the banks of the Nile River. The perfect symmetrical behemoths stand as an act of defiance. One of the pyramids, The Great Pyramid, is the oldest and the largest of the pyramids, it is touted as the last of the seven wonders of the ancient world that is still standing.

Taj Mahal
5. The Taj Mahal
With an annual visitor number of three million, this white marble monument was built in a period of fifteen years by an emperor known as Shah Jahan to act as a memorial to Mumtaz Mahal, his wife who died in childbirth. It sits on a three acre site found on the Yamuna River in the Northern Indian city of Agra.

Victoria Falls

6. Victoria Falls
Just thinking that you will be able to brag of being in two places at a time should convince you to visit this enormous waterfall. Guaranteed to take your breath away, this beautiful waterfall is a must visit. You may followup your visit with a safari in the game parks or leisurely soak yourself in the surrounding plains.
Riga
7. Riga
This Latvian city is known all over the world for its outstanding architecture. It has the biggest cluster of buildings built using the art nouveau style in the globe. Rest assured that you will remain transfixed on the buildings for days just to soak in their beauty.

Salar de Uyuni
8. Salar de Uyuni
This Bolivian salt flat was born as a result of the merging of several prehistoric lakes. During the wet season, this salt flat transforms into the largest mirror in the world. It is very reflective that it has found an application as a tool for calibrating satellites. Visitors can check into several hotels on the edge of this salt flat.
